Henry Ward Bell
Henry Ward Bell, 76, of Heflin, Ala., died March 27, 2003, at NHC Healthcare.
He was born Dec. 16, 1926, in Birmingham.
Visitation was held Saturday and Sunday at Dryden Funeral Home in Heflin. Services were held Sunday at the chapel of Dryden Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Bryan officiating. Interment was in Old Davistown Cemetery in Anniston, Ala.
Bell, a printer and a native of Birmingham, was a longtime resident of Griffin, Ga., before moving to Heflin in 1965. He was a member of Meridian Masonic Lodge and an Explorer Scout leader in Griffin. He was a member of American Legion Post 19 in Heflin, a U.S. Army veteran and attended the Baptist church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ray Bell.
Pallbearers were members of the American Legion Post 19 in Heflin.
Survivors include his wife, Alice R. Bell of Heflin, son Timothy A. Bell of Panama City Beach, Fla., four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
