Anthony Arcari


Mr. Anthony Arcari , 71, of Morrow, died Thursday, April 10, 2003.

Mr. Arcari served his country in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Corporal. He served in the Korean War and received the Purple Heart Award. Mr. Arcari was born in Connecticut and moved to Clayton County about 20 years ago. He was a retired over-the-road truck driver and a member of the VFW.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 13

in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow

in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; daughters, Barbara Boggess of Rex, Patricia Powell of Enfield, Conn., and Allison Elder of McDonough; sons, Louis Arcari of San Francisco, Calif. and Barry Arcari of Milton, Fla.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Reno Arcari of Summerville, Fla., Rico Arcari of Connecticut, and Mario Arcari of Naples, Fla.

The family will receive friends today from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Rose Marie Fay Coffee

Mrs. Rose Marie Fay Coffee, age 66, of McDonough, died Friday, April 11, 2003.

She was born Nov. 18, 1936, daughter of the late Gladys Louise McQuarter Fay and Thomas Henry Fay. Mrs. Coffee was a member of Eagles Landing Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 14 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Dr. Tim Dowdy and the Rev. Phil Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at Haisten-Eastlawn Memorial Park.

Survivors include her husband, Stephen S. Coffee; children, Mike and Julie Cook of Between, Ga., Connie and Jeff Holmberg of Glouster, Mass., Dottie Otis of Stockbridge, Jamie and Kelley Cook of McDonough, and Becky and Gary Barham of McDonough; sisters, Liz Womack, Eleanor Carter, Shirley Prather, and Loretta Fay, all of McDonough; brother, Richard Fay of Doyle, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today and Sunday, April 13 at the funeral home.

Jill Bickel Nelson

Ms. Jill Bickel Nelson,

age 47, of Stockbridge died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at her residence after a brief illness.

Jill was born July 25, 1955, in Detroit, Mich., daughter of the late Ione Anna Hoth and Kahle McCann Bickel. She had been a real estate agent and an avid antique collector.

Ms. Nelson will be cremated and the family will be receiving friends at her home in Stockbridge from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13.

Survivors include her sons, Jared and Jordan Nelson of Stockbridge.

Lenora Mae Bowen Shiver

Mrs. Lenora Mae Bowen Shiver, age 74, of McDonough, passed away Friday, April 11, 2003, at Crawford W. Long Hospital.

Mrs. Shiver was born March 10, 1929, in Poulan, Ga. to the late Albert H. Bowen and the late Lizzie Mae Kennon Bowen. Her husband, William Edward Shiver, preceded her in death in 1978.

Funeral services will be

conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 13 in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richie Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro.

Survivors include children and spouses, Greg and Betty Shiver of Ocean Springs, Miss., Debbie and Butch Oliver, and Connie Newman, all of McDonough; grandchildren, Joey Davis, Dean Hicks, Adam Hicks, Brandy Oliver, Leigh Newman, and Kristin Newman; brother and sister-in-law, Wallace and Joyce Bowen of Poulan, Ga.

Friends may visit the family from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
