James Michael Anderson

Mr. James Michael Anderson, age 53, of Locust Grove passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at the Henry Medical Center.

Mr. Anderson was born May 2, 1949, in Fulton County to the late Owen Stanley Anderson and the late Martha Jane Stephens Anderson. His wife, Margaret Horton Anderson, preceded him in death in 1997. He served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, was an electrician, and a member of IBEW.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 25 in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Bowen officiating.

Survivors include his daughters, Marie Layfield of McDonough and Kelly Michelle Anderson of Ocala, Fla.; granddaughters, Myla Layfield and Chastity Wages; sisters, Shirley Sanderson of Fairburn, Charlotte Pierce of Jacksonville, Fla., and Cheryl Davis of Jonesboro.

Mary Cuneio

Mary Cuneio, age 61, of Stockbridge died Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at Henry Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at Ward's Fairview Chapel with the Rev. Norman Drummond officiating. Interment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include her husband, Bois Cuneio; daughters, Kellie Brown of Acworth and Kanella and Kevin Leath of Locust Grove; sons, Kevin and Cindy Cuneio of Grayson, Timothy and Cheryl Cuneio of Winder, and Mike and Shelia Cuneio of Stockbridge; seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jack Fears

Mr. Jack Fears, age 58, of Hampton died Tuesday, April 22, 2003.

He was born April 19, 1945, in Spalding County, son of the late Julia Tarpley and Grady Franklin Fears. Mr. Fears was employed at Southern States as a CNC Machine operator. He was a member of Berea Christian Church and he served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. His son, Jeffrey Lee Fears, preceded him in death in 1994.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 25 at Berea Cemetery in Hampton with the Rev. Michael Gunnin officiating.

Survivors includes his siblings, Jo and Jimmy Middlebrooks of Hampton, and Robert and Shirley Hill of Marietta; nieces, Julia Harrison of Hampton and Dorothy Bremer of Marietta; nephew, Jason Middlebrooks of Hampton.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Nellie W. Phillips

Nellie W. Phillips, age 85, of Littleton, N.C. and formerly of McDonough died Sunday, April 20, 2003.

She was a member of Salem Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Nesbitt E. (Dick) Phillips in 1996.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, April 24 at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Rick Statham officiating.

Survivors include her children, Victor Moon and Adrianne Phillips; sister, Alma W. Christopher; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
