Mary A. Mullins
Mary A. Mullins, 79, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2003.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Robert (Bobby) Mullins of McDonough; daughter, Dianne (Tom Sammons of McDonough, two sons, Mike (Helen) Mullins of McDonough and Mark (Lynn) Mullins of Fayetteville; a sister, Frances Lewis of Winder; seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mullins will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the New Testament Baptist Church in Ellenwood, by the Rev. Curtis Turner. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Jeff Turpin, David Crocker, Ty Goodman, Dee Moon and Dennis Reeder will serve as active pallbearers. The Preacher Boys of New Testament Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.

PIEDMONT, S.C. n Walsie Bea Peters Williford, 86, of Ray Road, Piedmont, widow of Hubert Williford Sr., died Saturday, April 26, 2003 at Summit Place.
Born in Dothan, Ala., the daughter of the late Thomas James and Lulu Mae Thomley Peters, she was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Surviving are three daughters, Wavene Vaughn of Piedmont, S.C., Nancy Brewer and Mrs. Mandell (Lisa) Rigdon of Pickens, S.C., two sons, Hubert Williford Jr. of Piedmont, S.C., Emmett Williford, of Stockbridge, Ga.; three sisters, Lucile Tindell and Metha Chalker of Dothan, Ala., Betty Smith of Panama City, Fla., eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Gray Mortuary Chapel, with the Rev. Nathan Gilstrap officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home of Lisa Rigdon, 1195 Midway Road, Pickens, and will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer, S.C.

Eddie C. Bell
Eddie C. Bell, age 71, of Stockbridge, died April 27, 2003.
Mr. Bell was a former employee of Ford Motor Company.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille; children, Kim Hill of Griffin and Larry Bell of Senoia; step-children, Rita Millard of Illinois; Terry Willerson of McDonough; donna Willerson of Stockbridge; sisters, Louise Harper of Stockbridge and Freta Donnelly, of Ohio; twin brother, Freddie Bell of Comer; brother George Bell of Griffin; three grandsons and two step-granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Cannon-Cleveland on Wednesday, April 30 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in College Park Cemetery. Capt. Ralph "Frank" Waldrip (retired), 72, of Stockbridge, Ga., passed away on April 24, 2003 at Southern Regional Medical Center. A U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, Mr. Waldrip was a retired Forest Park police officer and Clayton County court bailiff. He was also a member of the Peace Officers Association.
Mr. Waldrip was survived by his wife, Rhoda Waldrip of Stockbridge, Ga.; three daughters, Sharon and her husband Thomas Israel of McDonough, Ga.; Jennifer and her husband Jack Bryan of McDonough; and Kathleen and her husband Pat Cochran of Stockbridge; two sons, Stuart Thomas Waldrip of Stockbridge, Ga. and Willis and his wife Vickie Wade of Temple, Ga.; five grandchildren, Allison Bryan and her husband Allen Jolley, Will Bryan, Zachary Israel, Jake Israel and Kaci Cochran; great-grandchildren, Kevin Jolley; sister, Azzie Johnson of Decatur, Ala.; three sisters-in-law, Betty Jean Moore of McDonough, Ga. Essie Lee of Ellisville, Miss. And Billie Ponder of Laurel, Miss; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services for Capt. Waldrip were held on Sunday, April 27, 2003 at Parkway Garden Chapel at 4 p.m., with interment following at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family received friends on Saturday, April 26, 2003 from 2 until 4 p.m. and again from 6 until 8 p.m.
