The American Legion Post 258 is holding a benefit dinner Saturday for a 7-year-old boy who was the victim of a dog attack. Tyler Davis of Carrollton was attacked by a pit bull in August of last year and his right arm was badly injured. He has already had one corrective surgery and needs five more, American Legion spokeswoman Susie Blackwell said. The owner of the dog has not taken responsibility for the attack, Blackwell said, and Davis' parents' insurance does not cover the full cost of the medical procedures. The dinner costs $5 a plate and will start at noon at the post at 1483 Commerce Way in Jonesboro. Call (770) 478-8046 for more information.More like this story
