Sara Frances Foster
Mrs. Sara Frances Foster of Fayetteville died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003, at Fayette Community Hospital.
Her son, Larry A. Foster, preceded her in death.
A church service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Hampton. Interment will follow at the church Cemetery. The Rev. Candy Thacker will officiate.
Survivors include her sons, Paul Wesley Foster Jr. and Betty of McLean, Va., Don R. Foster and Bonnie of Jonesboro, and Terry M. Foster and Joyce of Fayetteville; brother, John Chappell and Helen of Hampton; grandchildren, Rod Lawrence, Paul W. Foster III, Amanda F. Spahr, Rachel E. Foster, Larry A. Foster Jr., Ansley F. Calbo, D. Ross Foster, and Sam S. McLean; great-grandchildren, Callaway Spahr, Jackson Spahr, and Griffin Spahr.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Buddy B. McAlister Sr.
Mr. Buddy B. McAlister Sr., age 66, of Jonesboro, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He served in the United States Army.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23 at New Hope Baptist Church in McDonough, with the Rev. John Cromer officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Betty L. McAlister; daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Neil Wanzer of Hampton; sons and daughters-in-law, Buddy B. and Sheryl McAlister Jr. of North Charleston, S.C., Clarence and Connie McAlister of Lake City, Ga., Eddie and Jo Smith of Griffin, Danny L. and Carolyn Smith of Whitesberg, Ga., Kenneth and Peggy Smith of Woodstock, Ga., Victor and Cheryl Brown of Newport News, Va., Eric and Rita Smith of Social Circle, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Lovelace of Fayetteville; mother, Ruby McAlister of Carrol County, Ga.; several grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces.

Don Watkins Sr.
Mr. Don Watkins Sr., 67, passed away Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003.
Mr. Watkins was a devoted family man and retired from Clayton State College with 15 years of service.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23 at Pope Dickson & Son Morrow Chapel, with the Rev. Lindberg Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Watkins is survived by his loving wife, Eva B. Watkins of Morrow; daughters, Luann Holbrook of Ecorse, Mich. and Wanda W. Hawkins of Morrow; daughter-in-law, Cindy Daniel of McDonough; sons, Don Watkins Jr. of McDonough and William Watkins of Morrow; grandchildren, James Watkins, Benjamin Watkins, Woody Holbrook, Lisa Holbrook, Katrina Daniel, Jaclyn Daniel, and Tiffany Daniel; great-grandchild, Makayla Daniel.
The family will receive friends today from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
