Pt. South girls stay unbeaten

The Pointe South Middle School girls basketball team remained undefeated Thursday afternoon with a 37-11 victory against Forest Park.

Tamethia Bennett scored 10, Bianca Arnold tossed in 9 and Shamonica Haines had 8.

Roberts 50, Kendrick 40 (boys): A.J. Westfield led Roberts with 21 points and David Webber added 10 as Roberts beat Kendrick Thursday evening.

Morrow 41, Lovejoy 29 (girls): Temperance Jacobs led Morrow with 17 points and D'Amber Hood scored 13.

Morrow 49, Lovejoy 38 (boys): Three Morrow players scored in double figures including Teondre Williams with 17, Tony Dukes with 14 and Thomas Barnes with 11.

North Clayton 39, Jonesboro 32 (boys): North Clayton improved to 4-1 after beating Jonesboro in double overtime Thursday evening.

Two players scored in double figures with Joe Amichia scoring 15 and Travion Williams scoring 10. Warren Franklin added nine points for North Clayton.

North Clayton 42, Jonesboro 24 (girls): North Clayton improved to 3-2 on the season after winning Thursday's game against Jonesboro.

Latia Williams scored 17 and Jennifer Anoka scored 13 to lead North Clayton.
