The M.D. Roberts Middle School basketball teams swept their basketball games Monday afternoon, beating Jonesboro in both the boys and the girls games. M.D. Roberts 38, Jonesboro 18 (girls): Bobbi Boyer had 8 points and Joy Holyfield and Juene Hypolite added 6 each en route to M.D. Roberts win. M.D. Roberts 52, Jonesboro 37 (boys): A.J. Westfield added 23 points and Steven Bennett 9 to pace M.D. Roberts to the win. North Clayton 38, Adamson 34 (girls): Two players finished in double figures Monday afternoon as North Clayton held on to beat Adamson. Jennifer Anoka led the way with 15 and teammate Latia Williams tossed in 14. North Clayton 37, Adamson 27: Joe Amichia added 13 and Travion Williams 12 to pace. Lovejoy 24, Pointe South 23: Jasmine Jones scored 8 points, but it wasn't enough for Pointe South. Details weren't reported for Lovejoy.More like this story
