Casper is a 7-year-old, solid white domestic medium-hair. Casper has been neutered and all vaccinations are current. Casper came to the Clayton County Humane Society after being brutally mistreated by teen-age boys. After being used as a "football," Casper was left with severe head injuries, which eventually led to the loss of his sight. However, Casper has adapted to his handicap and still manages to find his food, his bed and his litter box with no problem. Unfortunately, he has developed a form of diabetes, but this is controlled with daily eye drops, and requires no injections. The Humane Society is looking for a special home for Casper. There should be no small children, and preferably, no other animals. His previous owners had him declawed, so he has no defenses against other animals. Casper has been a resident at the shelter since June 1999, so the Humane Society would like to see Casper in a warm, loving home. After being abused, then living in a noisy, frightening shelter situation for so many years, he deserves so much more. For adoption information call the Humane Society at (770) 471-9436.

Gabe is a 1?-year-old, black and white border collie mix. He has been neutered and all vaccinations are current. Gabe was rescued from Animal Control, where he was scheduled to be destroyed. He is a wonderful dog, who never meets a stranger and has no enemies. He loves everyone, including other dogs. He loves being outside, and he thinks a good mud hole is better than a steak dinner. Gabe would do great in any home, but would love to have children to play with. For more information call the Clayton County Humane Society at (770) 471-9436.
