Sara Pitts

Sara Pitts, 74, of McDonough, died July 19, 2003. Pitts was the widow of the late William Leon Pitts. She was a member of First Baptist Church of McDonough and a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Pitts was a member of the Women of the Moose and the Henry County Scholarship Foundation.

Survivors include her daughter, Fredda Pitts Harrison of Atlanta, grandchildren, Tracy Lynn Harrison of Pomfret, Conn., Robert Adams Harrison II of Atlanta; sisters, Margaret Jones Nixon of Stockbridge, Eadye Jones Craig of McDonough; brother, Albert (Bubba) Jones of Jackson; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 22, at 11 a.m. from the First Baptist Church of McDonough. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Zan Janet Waldrop (Baker)

Zan Janet Waldrop (Baker) of Jonesboro, died July 20, 2003. Waldrop was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro and retired from Delta Air Lines. Preceded in death by her parents, Sarah Nolan and Manse Waldrop Jr. and sister Sarah Jacklyn Waldrop Standard, she is survived by great nieces, Sarah Olsen, and Laken, Lauren and Baby Waldrop; nieces, Jill Standard Olsen and husband Eric, and Dana Waldrop Williams and husband Wes; nephew, Manse Waldrop and wife Leigh; brother, Dan Waldrop and wife Sharon; brother-in-law, James Douglas Standard Jr. and Raymond L. Baker.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in Morrow Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday.

Ronald Stephen Taylor

Mr. Ronald Stephen Taylor, 44, of McDonough, died Friday, July 18, 2003, at Henry Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 25, 1958, in Jacksonville, N.C.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 23 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dudley Rose officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen F. Taylor; daughter, Ashlyne Ann Brinkman of McDonough; grandchildren, Autumn Ann Johnson and Alexander Brinkman; father, Gil Taylor of DeBary, Fla.; mother, Patricia Taylor of McDonough; grandfather, Ret. Col. Clifford B. Radcliff of McDonough; sister, Deborah Alexander of Brooks, Ga.

Patricia Ann Magill

Patricia Ann Magill, 60, of Hampton, died Saturday, July 19, at Southern Regional Medical Center.

Magill was born Feb. 4, 1943, in Fulton County, to the late William Ford Amos and the late Annie Lee Walker Amos. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Donald Amos. She was a member of the Riverdale Christian Church and was president of the Phoenix Concrete Cutting Company in College Park, Md. She has served as past national president of the Women Construction Owners and Executives of America.

Survivors include her fiance, Bill Fulmer of Fulton, Md.; son and daughter-in-law, David and Lynn DeFoor of Riverdale; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Tony Reid of Hampton; extended children, Leta Kay Reynolds, Donald Lee Ballard and Sherry Payne; grandchildren, Dalyn "Boo" DeFoor, Brandi and Hunter Reid; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Robert Culver of Stockbridge; brother and sister-in-law, James and Sharon Amos of Fayetteville; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Magill will be Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at 3 p.m. at the Riverdale Christian Church. The Rev. Brandon Fulmer will officiate. Interment will follow at College Park Cemetery. She will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Friends may visit the family Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
