Floyd Roger Guarnett
Mr. Floyd Roger Guarnett, 55, of McDonough, died July 25, 2003. He was born Feb. 5, 1948, in Little Rock, Ark., the son of Pat Schlichting of Auburndale, Fla., and Jerry Guarnett of Pocahontas, Ark.
Guarnett served his country for two tours of duty in Vietnam and was part of the Pueblo Rescue. He was a member of the American Motor Cycle Association and the National Republican Committee.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Mealor Guarnett of McDonough; children, Tammy Moffitt of Pompano Beach Fla., and Rod Guarnett and wife Angela of Locust Grove; siblings, Judy and Thomas DuBose of Plant City, Fla., Neal and Pat Guarnett of Philadelphia, Penn., Kelly Guarnett of Lakeland, Fla.; and three grandchildren. A memorial service for Mr. Guarnett was held Sunday, July 27, at 6 p.m. in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with the Rev. Lewis Sligh officiating. The family received friends prior to the service.

Marion Edward Huff
Mr. Marion Edward Huff, 72, of Locust Grove, died July 25, 2003. He was born Aug. 23, 1930, in Turner County, the son of the late Virginia Louise Garbett and Jacob Adolph Huff. He was a retired truck driver with 26 years, 16 years spent working for Progressive Lighting Company.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nellie Brantley Huff of Locust Grove; children, Jennie and Rick Burdett of Stockbridge, Mike and Paula Huff of Douglasville, Steve and Karen Huff of Stockbridge, and Nan Huff of Locust Grove; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held Sunday, July 27, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Murell officiating. The family received friends prior to the service.
