Mary E. Abernathy

Mrs. Mary E. Abernathy died Sunday, June 15, 2003.

Her husband, Ernest W. Abernathy, and son, Terrell E. (Ted) Abernathy, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18 in the chapel of A.S. Turner & Sons with the Rev. Hugh Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Decatur Cemetery.

Survivors include her sons, State Patrol First Lt. Russell Abernathy and wife Cheryl of Henry County, formerly of Decatur, and Dr. Ernest W. Abernathy and wife Mary of Alpharetta, formerly of Clayton County; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jackie Crumbley

Homemaker

Jackie Crumbley, age 71, of McDonough died Sunday, June 15, 2003.

Mrs. Crumbley was a homemaker and a member of the Heatherwood Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 17 from the Chapel of Cannon-Cleveland with the Rev. Tom Daugherty and the Rev. J.E. Jarrard officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Forest Park.

Survivors include her husband, Charles; children, Peggy Crawford of Atlanta, Patti Beaver of Newnan, David Brown of Loganville, and Debbie Brown of Stockbridge; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
