Herschel Leon Chumbley

Retired

Mr. Herschel Leon Chumbley, age 66, of McDonough passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at Crawford Long Hospital.

Mr. Chumbley was born May 14, 1937, in Henry County to the late Jake Thomas Chumbley and Clara Bell Brooks. He was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon, and a member of the choir. He served in the nursing home ministry at Cornerstone, and was a member of the Sheriff's Association. He was retired from Paccar Inc.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28 from Liberty Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Gongwer and the Rev. Mike Henderson officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Holloway Chumbley; sons, Scott and Yvonne Chumbley, Gary Chumbley, and Terry Chumbley, all of Hampton; sister, Nancy Hollinsworth, and brother, Wayne Chumbley, both of McDonough; granddaughter, Kathleen Chumbley of Hampton.

Friends may visit the family from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Faye Greer Wilkie Craig

Retired

Faye Greer Wilkie Craig, age 81, of Cumming, a former resident of McDonough, died Wednesday, June 25, 2003.

Her husband, Robert Tye Craig, preceded her in death. Mrs. Craig retired from the State Department of Education and was a member of the Georgia Retired Educators Association.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Friday, June 27 in the Chapel of Cannon-Cleveland Funeral Directors with the Rev. Hart Pearson officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Betty Jo and Bob Greer of Cumming; daughter, Beverly Faye Robinson of McDonough; sisters, Mary Nadol of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Frances Mitchell of Hampton, Joann Thrasher of Norcross, and Betty Floyd of Clermont, Ga.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Robert Sidney Mullins

Robert Sidney Mullins, age 82, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2003.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28 at New Testament Baptist Church by Dr. Curtis A. Turner. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. James Turpin, Jeff Turpin, Ty Goodman, David Crocker, Dennis Reeder, and Dee Moon will serve as active pallbearers.

Survivors include his sons, Mike (Helen) Mullins and Mark (Lynn) Mullins; daughter, Dianne (Tom) Sammons; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
