The Lovejoy Wildcats baseball team got a little help from the rain as well as strong pitching and timely offense to beat Starr's Mill 6-4 in a game called because of rain in the fifth inning. Nick Duffey pitched four innings for the win and Edwin Perez picked up the save. Ethan Waters smacked two hits, including a home run to pace the Wildcats. Jordan Chastain finished with two hits and three RBIs. The win improved Lovejoy to 9-14 overall and 6-8 in the region.More like this story
