The Riverdale Lady Raiders track and field team finished fourth Saturday in the Class AAAAA division of the girls' state track and field meet in Albany.
Paced by state titles in two events, Riverdale garnered 29 team points.
Collins Hill won the state title with 53 points, Shiloh was second with 44, and Marietta third with 41 points.
Tia Perry, who won a state title last year, did so again Saturday winning the 400 meters with a time of 54.774. She edged Priscilla Gaines of Marietta who was second in a time of 55.445.
The Lady Raiders entered this week's state meet with high hopes from its relay team and the squad didn't disappoint, capturing the 1,600 relay in a time of 3:46.895.
Shalondan Hollingshed, Nichole Davis, Perry, Centauria Olds, Sametria Matthews, Jahnee Bradley were all members of the winning relay team.
Riverdale's 4x100 relay team finished sixth.
Perry took home a third medal by finishing third in the 300 low hurdles. Her time of 44.026 paved for her medal-winning performance.
Morrow's Nicola James finished fourth in the 800 meters, finishing the event in a time of 2:21.245.
Mt. Zion's Shaka Dennison took sixth in the 100 meters.
Former heavy weight champion Evander Holyfield had plenty to cheer about at this year's event as he watched his daughter's Evette and Ebonne help lead Landmark Christian to the Class A state title.ette was named the state meet's all-classification high point socer with 33 points.
