Ora Wynell Conner

Ora Wynell Conner, age 66, of Hampton, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 16 at Carl J. Mowell & Son Chapel, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Jeff Gongwer officiating. Interment will follow at Camp Memorial Park.

Survivors include her husband, Emery Conner; son, Donnie Conner of New Jersey; daughter, Cynthia and Ronald Motes of Hampton; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, James Coulliette of Marianna, Fla.; nieces and nephews.

Mary Gilliam

Mary Gilliam, age 79, of Stockbridge, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2003.

Mrs. Gilliam was a member of Riverdale Second Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 16 from Horis A. Ward's Fairview Chapel, with Pastor Terrell Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine and Lehman Barnewell of Delta, Ala., Carolyn and David Stephens of Wewahitchka, Fla., and Betty and Louie Wilson Sr. of Stockbridge; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Dianne Gilliam of Stockbridge and Larry and Sara Gilliam of Stockbridge; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sister, Margeret Crider of Dalton; brothers, Lester Bennett of Marietta and Benny Bennett of Cartersville.

The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Hazel L. Roberson

Hazel L. Roberson, age 68, of McDonough, died Wednesday, May 14, 2003.

She was born June 16, 1934, in Gadsden, Ala., daughter of the late Jessie and Lucille Barfield.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May. 16 in the Chapel of Cannon-Cleveland Funeral Directors, with the Rev. Dudley Rose officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include her husband, Millard, son, Jerry and Frankie Roberson of McDonough; grandsons, Jerry Roberson II and Chase Roberson of McDonough.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, May 15 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Elzie Speir Jr.

Minister

Elzie Speir Jr. of Jackson died Monday, May 12, 2003.

Mr. Speir was a senior insurance agent for Cannon Insurance Company in Riverdale for many years. He was also the minister at Forest Park Primitive Baptist Church for many years.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 16 at Parkway Garden Chapel, with Elder Rayburn Lord officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen Speir; mother, Elizabeth Speir of Hiawassee, Ga.; daughters, Pam and Hank Chambers of Fayetteville, and Lesa Bolton of Stockbridge; sons, Steve and Kay Speir of Fayetteville, Eddie Speir of Jackson, and Allen Speir of Jackson; sisters, Dorothy and Fred Lee of Hiawassee, Carol and Abner Moore of Atlanta, and Mary Ann and Joe Green of Alpharetta; brother, Lee and Carlene Speir of Jonesboro; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
