Edwin Dery

Mr. Edwin Melvin (Ed) Dery, 86, of Morrow, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003.

He was a member of St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church of Jonesboro.

He is survived by his wife, Alicia Dery; sons, Ed Dery Jr. of Canton, Mich., Paul Dery of Canton, Mich., Jim Dery of Sterling Heights, Mich., Leonard Dery of Lantana, Fla., Leslie Dery of West Palm Beach, Fla., Charles Dery of Tallahassee, Fla., Richard Dery of Red Bank, N.J., John Longeway Dery of Orlando, Fla., David Dery of Gainesville, Fla.; daughters Ruth Poynter of Shelby Township, Mich., Louise Dery of Wixom Township, Mich., and Margaret Dery of Morrow; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, with Father Vincent Gluc officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lizzie Hobby

Mrs. Lizzie R. Hobby, 70, of Jonesboro, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003.

She was a member of the Jonesboro Christian Fellowship Church. She is survived by sons Allen Hobby of Jonesboro, Eddie Hobby of Jonesboro, Ronald Hobby of Millry, Ala., and Steve Hobby of Stockbridge; sisters, Frances Hay of Hampton, Sarah Allen of Griffin and Miriam Holder of Monroe; brothers, David Rutledge of Forest Park, Joseph Rutledge of Riverdale, James Rutledge of Barnesville and Waymon Rutledge of Hampton. She had 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She also had a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lynn Head, the Rev. Marty Smith and the Rev. Bobby Stapp officiating. Barry Jones

Barry Jones of Forest Park died on Nov. 11, 2003.

He was a member of the South Fayette Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Linda Jones; children Bart Jones and Heather Clarke, both of Valdosta; stepfather and mother Charles and Nellie Nelson; sister Brenda Brown of Duluth; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, with Mitch Davis officiating at The Pine Grove Church of Christ in Jasper at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends Thursday at the funeral home from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m.

Thomas H. Agan

Thomas H. Agan, 76, of Hampton, Ga., passed away on Nov. 11, 2003, at his residence.

Mr. Agan is survived by his loving wife, Sybil Agan, of Hampton, Ga.; children and spouses Tommy Agan Jr. of Lake Wales, Fla., Bill and Linda Agan of Lake Wales, Fla., Nicky Agan and Nikki Farris of Hampton, Ga., John and Jessica Agan of Tampa, Fla., Jeff and Jen Agan of Minnesota; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Pope Dickson Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with the Rev. Thomas Pearce officiating. Interment will follow at Berea Church Cemetery in Hampton, Ga. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Pope Dickson and Son Funeral Home in Jonesboro, 168 N.
