Katherine Swanson Bryan, age 90, of Forest Park, passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2003.
Mrs. Bryan was an avid camper and enjoyed traveling across the country, to the Grand Canyon and other scenic wonders, to California, Canada and Mexico. When it was winter she would jump in the car and head to the nearest snow.
A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17 at the chapel. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Atlanta.
Survivors include her children, Janet Bryan McLendon, Douglas Bryan, Phillip Bryan and Dennis Bryan; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16 at the funeral home.

Richard Raymond Holland Sr.
Richard Raymond Holland Sr., born April 10, 1926, of Jonesboro and formerly of Columbus, Ga., died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003.
He was a member of the Gideons International. He was also a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Grady and Ruby Dean Holland, and brothers, G.W. Holland, Albert C. Holland, Walter M. Holland and Ralph Harold Holland.
Funeral services will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16 at the Chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Dean Haun and Mr. Lamar Branton officiating.
Graveside services will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17 at Park Hill Cemetery in Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Middlebrooks Holland; children, Sharon Holland Bartlett and her husband George Edward of Jonesboro and Richard R. Holland Jr. and his wife Patricia Ann of Acworth; grandchildren, Renea Bartlett, Adam Bartlett, Amber Holland, Autumn Holland, Brittany Bertrand, Brett Bertrand, and Rylee Holland; brothers, John Milton Holland of Farmington, N.M., Robert Dean Holland of Cataula, Ga., and Earnest Lester Holland of Columbus.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16.

Charles Wesley "Chicken" Hollingsworth
Mr. Charles Wesley "Chicken" Hollingsworth, age 70, of McDonough, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at Henry Medical Center.
He was born July 3, 1933, in Henry County, son of the late Cora Bryans and Columbus Wesley Hollingsworth. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church, a retired Dairy Farmer, a member of the Georgia Milk Producers, and served on the Henry County School Board for four years.
Funeral services will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16 at Sharon Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gary Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Chumbley Hollingsworth; son and daughter-in-law, Wes and Shannon Hollingsworth of McDonough; brother, Frank Hollingsworth of Royston, Ga.; grandchildren, Jake and Erika Hollingsworth; several nieces and nephews.

Margaret Elizabeth Teate Moss
Margaret Elizabeth Teate Moss, 75, of Fayetteville, passed away Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003.
Mrs. Moss was a member of Tanners Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Moss, and sons, Preston and Ricky Sweatman.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17 at Tara Garden Chapel, with the Rev. Charles Huggins officiating. Interment will follow at Tanners Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Gail Huddleston of Fayetteville; sons, Victor Sweatman of Florida, Tim (Gail) Sweatman of Lithia Springs, Ga., Chet (Susan) Sweatman of Florida, and Joey (Angie) Sweatman of Florida; sister, Bernice Florence of Jonesboro; brother, Edward Teate of Lithonia; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five stepchildren and their families; nieces and nephews.

Betty S. Holt Palmer
Betty S. Holt Palmer, 62, of Hampton, passed away at her residence Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003.
Mrs. Palmer was a waitress in the restaurant service. Mrs. Palmer was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey Spruill and Stella N. Johnson.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16 at the Westminister Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City.
Survivors include her husband, Gene A. Palmer; daughters, Sharon D. Holt Tankersley and Karen L. Holt Oden; sons, Ronald E. Smallwood and Randy F. Smallwood; 11 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
