Teacher

Mrs. Mary Morris, age 62, of McDonough, passed away Monday, Nov. 17, 2003.

Mrs. Morris was a kindergarten teacher at West Clayton Elementary School, College Park, Ga. for more than 30 years.

Funeral services will take place at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20 from Ward's Fairview Chapel. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Morris; daughters, Kim and Reid Feagler of McDonough and Robin and Danny Anderson of McDonough; brothers, Billy Nelson of Spartanburg, S.C. and Bobby Nelson of Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren, Joshua, Daniel, Haley, Jacob, Tyler, Olivia, and Mary Elizabeth.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today

Thomas Edward Shipley III

Thomas Edward Shipley III of Jonesboro died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 29, 1951, in Bell County, Ky., son of the late Thomas Edward Shipley Jr. and Ellen Farra Woodson Shipley of Madison, Ga.

He graduated from Columbia High School in Decatur, Ga. where he received the first Lipscomb Latin scholarship to King College, Bristol, Va. He also attended Georgia State University in Atlanta, where he earned a Classics degree.

Funeral services took place at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9 at the Shumate Cemetery in New Fazewell, Tenn.

Survivors include his mother, Ellen W. Shipley, and brother, Edwin W. Shipley of Madison.

Simmons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
