You are not being oppressed - Ed Brock

Ousted Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore and his acolytes are, fittingly enough, suffering from a martyr complex.

Could there be a ghost in your house? - April Avison

I'm glad October has ended. Speaking from the perspective of someone who was raised in a household where "Halloween" was a bad word, I've never found myself too interested in the season in which children – and adults – dress themselves up as ghosts and goblins and witches.

Dad's policies sound pretty good - Bob Paslay

What a difference some years make in our perspective. I remember distinctly sitting around with others full of bloodlust and enthusiasm after Americans kicked the Iraqis out of Kuwait and bemoaning the fact that George Bush was a wimp and didn't follow through and invade Iraq.

Living life is not a chore - Zach Porter

There are some people I've met who as far as I can tell define their lives as: A. Stuff and B. Whatever it takes to get the stuff done. "Just get it done" – that's their motto. Tasks and the completion of those tasks presumably 'til your poor heart fails you. That's it. No commentary, no interpretation and certainly no room for fun. NEWS DAILY - COMMUNITY LINKS

Leaders or representatives? - R.H. Joseph

Apparently there are those who take issue with my rebuke of the American people for the depressingly banal state of our culture.

Our lowest common denominator - Rob Felt

Alpharetta and East Cobb have zoned their lots as the model of Atlanta suburban living. Like the surveyors who crawl their surfaces, these communities carefully measure and plot the next project to piece together their Pleasantville puzzles. Virgin lands combine with business management commuters to feed a machine of exponentially calculated growth. To the top-dollar housing add a great school system, shopping galore and country club recreation.

Taking a hard look at economic McGrowth - Diane Wagner

Last week's news, as always, was a hodgepodge of various items but I couldn't help drawing a connection between two announcements.
