Kerry Angus, husband of Henry County Manager Linda Angus, is scheduled to appear in Henry County State Court on Nov. 3 on a misdemeanor DUI charge. According to a report on file with the Henry County Bureau of Police Services, Kerry Angus, 33, was arrested for driving under the influence and failure to maintain lane on Sept. 24 after being detained by Forest Park Police just inside Henry County. Kerry Angus, an attorney with Nelson Mullins Law Firm, was seen by a Forest Park police officer driving erratically on Interstate 75 South through Clayton County around 1:20 a.m., "running vehicles off the road, making lane changes without signaling and at one point, driving through the emergency lane in Morrow," according to an incident report on file with the Henry County Bureau of Police Services, the arresting agency. The report states that Angus got into the far right lane when he reached the I-675 and I-75 merge, put the 2002 Jaguar he was driving in park but left it running and appeared to fall asleep. After a Forest Park officer woke him up, he was handcuffed and placed on the grass of the shoulder of the road. Henry County Bureau of Police Services was notified and after several field sobriety tests Angus was transported to the Henry County Jail. There he was given a breath test that registered a .146 blood alcohol content. The legal limit is .08. Angus was released a few hours later on $1,270 bond.More like this story
