Ava Fannin Dailey Allen
Mrs. Ava Fannin Dailey Allen, age 78, of Griffin passed away Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003, at the Spalding Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Allen was born Aug. 27, 1925, in Spalding County, daughter of the late Robert Arnold Fannin Sr. and the late Lois Gertrude Steele Fannin. She was a member of the County Line United Methodist Church for more than 35 years. She was a loving mother and Granny, a devoted sister and a faithful friend. She loved taking care of everyone, especially her grandsons. Her husband, Marvin Allen, and brother, Haywood Fannin, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 in the Warren Haisten Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Bradford officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Leigh and Rex Buckingham; grandsons, Kenneth and Ryan Buckingham of Columbus, Ohio; sisters and brother-in-law, Frances F. Salter and Gladys and Paul Anderson, all of Griffin; brother and sisters-in-law, Robert Jr. and Bobbie "Jo" Fannin of Jonesboro, and Wilma Fannin of Griffin; former husband, Harold Dailey of McDonough; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may visit the family from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Rose L. Mason-Moorer
Rose L. Mason-Moorer of Forest Park passed away Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, at Southern Regional Hospital in Riverdale.
Rose was born Nov. 18, 1953, in Aiken, S.C. to the late Laurane Verdrey Callaham-Waldo-Mason and the late Olin Mason Sr. She graduated from Aiken High School in 1971, and South Carolina State College and University, where she majored in Dramatic Arts. She was actively involved in the Atlanta Public School System as PTA President and member. Her greatest joy was experienced in rearing her children. She enjoyed reading, listening to and singing gospel music, and volunteer work in her neighborhood.
Homegoing services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 in Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, 1500 Norman Drive, College Park with the Rev. Dr. Emmanuel L. McCall Sr., Pastor.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Darnell Moorer; sons, Uriel and Gabriel Moorer; daughters, Ramielle and Dorielle Moorer; stepson, Shawn C. Robinson; brothers, Frank R. (Johnnie) Waldo, Kenneth E. (Doris) Waldo, Walter O. (Henrietta) Mason, Owen (Mary) Mason, and Olin (Ernestine) Mason Jr.; sisters, Verdrey Mason Madzimoyo, and Ola Mae Mason-Pate; nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins.
The family will receive visitors and friends from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. today during the quiet hour at the funeral home.

Timothy L. Thoman
Timothy L. Thoman, 55, of McDonough died Monday, Sept. 15, 2003.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5 at McDonough Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Donna, and children, Kathryn and Paul.
