The Jonesboro Lady Cardinals volleyball team just keeps rolling right along. Today, the Lady Cardinals travel to Henry County with one thing in mind, keeping its unbeaten streak intact. The Lady Cardinals captured the Clayton County volleyball championships earlier this year, and have proven unstoppable. Their volleyball match across the county line highlights a busy day of fall sports action. Also in high school volleyball, Lovejoy travels to Riverdale. Mundy's Mill go to Newnan. In a game matchup between Christian schools, Bible Baptist plays at People's and Lake Dow meets Horizon. On the softball diamond, Jonesboro, winners of the county tournament a little more than a week ago, travels to Mt. Zion for a game with the Lady Bulldogs. Morrow has a tough task on the softball diamond today when it faces Stockbridge. The Lady Tigers come into the Region 2-AAAAA game having already clinched the No. 1 seed in next week's region event, which will be played at Lovejoy Park next week. Two varsity high school teams are also preparing for Thursday night football games. Mt. Zion, plays at Warner Robins. Lovejoy, the No. 6 ranked team in last week's Class AAAAA AP football poll, travels to Columbus for a game against Carver. Last week, Lovejoy improved its record to 5-0 after beating Starr's Mill.More like this story
