Mrs. Mary Arcari, 74, of Rex and formerly of Morrow, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003.
Mrs. Arcari was born in Baltimore and later moved to Connecticut, where she lived for some time before moving to Clayton County about 20 years ago. Mrs. Arcari was a dedicated homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Arcari.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Boggess of Rex, Patricia Powell of Enfield, Conn., and Allison Elder of McDonough; sons, Louis Arcari of San Francisco, Calif., and Barry Arcari of Milton, Fla.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Billy Jay Brooks
Mr. Billy Jay Brooks, age 58, of McDonough, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003.
He was born April 19, 1945, in Calhoun, Ga., son of the late Mae Brooks Walker and A.J. Brooks.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 at Eastside Baptist Church, with the Rev. Andrew Reagan and the Rev. Frank Cronan officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Veronica Tribble Brooks; children, Sheila Renea Cleapor of McDonough, Teresa Jean Lance of Hampton, Belinda J. Reidhead of Morristown, Tenn., Karen Denise Felinas of Jonesboro, Veronica Diane Boardman of Virginia Beach, William Jay Brooks of Jonesboro, and Shannon Raye Line of Murrayville, Ga.; sisters, Peggy Montgomery and Carolyn Ratley; brothers, Harold Francis, Joe Brooks, Bobby Brooks, Russell Brooks, and Roger Brooks; 20 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Elizabeth Dalton, age 66, of Hampton, passed away Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003.
Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home, with Dr. Trenton Swanson officiating. Interment will follow at Camp Memorial Park.

James A. Turner Jr.
Mr. James A. Turner Jr., 58, of Hampton, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, after a brief illness.
Mr. Turner was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Armed Forces in Vietnam and was awarded a Purple Heart by the U.S. Army. Mr. Turner was known for and loved coaching Little League baseball and receive the Golden Hammer Award from Alcoa.
Funeral services will take place at 3 p.m. today, Friday, Oct. 10 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Gongwer and Pastor Mike Henderson officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Mrs. Gail Turner; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Chip Chapman of Hampton; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Donna Lewis of McDonough, Kevin Turner of Griffin, and James A. and Lisa Turner III of Griffin; grandchildren, Christopher Lewis, Patrick Phillips, Ashton Lewis, Brooke Lewis, Kalli Turner, Trey Chapman, Josh Chapman, Hannah Turner, and Drew Turner.
