Martha Christine McCullough Williams

Mrs. Martha Christine McCullough Williams of Riverdale passed away Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, at Southern Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy McCoy, and brother, Boyce McCullough.

Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20 at Bible Baptist Church in Hampton, with Pastor Norman Pyle officiating. Interment will follow at Green Meadows Memorial Gardens in Conyers.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Albert Williams Sr.; daughters, Marilyn Harrison (Gene) of Fayetteville, and Elaine Greer (Bobby) of Hampton; sons, Al Williams (Vicki) of Florida, and Joey Williams (April) of Texas; sisters, Nevelyn Durden of Alabama, and Jewell Berry of Atlanta; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19 at the funeral home.

James Richard Franks

James Richard Franks of Swainsboro, Ga. passed away from a massive heart attack Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003, leaving behind one son, Donnie Scott Franks.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18 at the Chapel of Cannon-Cleveland Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.

Other survivors include grandchildren, Delayna Sherree Franks, Donnie Scott Franks II, and Autumn Sierra Franks; great-grandchildren, Dylan West and Ethan Franks; brothers, Larry Franks and Wayne Franks of McDonough; sisters, Sandra Heaton of Hampton and Janice Lister of McDonough.

Frances Haley

Mrs. Frances Haley, age 91, of McDonough and formerly of Forest Park, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003, in a local Nursing Care.

Mrs. Haley was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Haley, to whom she was married for 47 years.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19 at the Philadelphia Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Jack Westlund officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The remains will lie in state from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Roy Babin of Stockbridge; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Phyllis Haley of Morrow, and Jerry and Delores Haley of Braselton; sister, Janette Young of Snellville; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Opal Virginia Hootman

Opal Virginia Hootman, age 90, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. today, Saturday, Oct. 18 at the Carl J. Mowell & Son Chapel, with Pastor Miriam Beecher officiating. Interment will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include her children, Shirley and Mike Kovacicek of Fayetteville, James H. and Nancy Hootman of Jonesboro, Glenda and Steve Stanko of Las Vegas, Nev., Bruce Hootman of Warner Robins, Ga., Ronnie Hootman of Jonesboro, and Joyce and John Bromley of Riverdale.; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; sisters, Melba Masco of Ohio, Laverne Krupp of Ohio, and Twila Scott of Ohio.
