Recruiters from nearly two dozen airport-affiliated companies will be on hand today to talk to area residents interested in working at Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport. The Fall 2003 Job Fair will be at the Atlanta Apparel Mart in downtown Atlanta.
Up to 300 job vacancies are available at participating companies including AirTran Airways, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, United Parcel Service and MARTA.
"As the world's busiest airport we assist thousands of people each day. We are looking for customer service-oriented and customer satisfaction-driven individuals to join our efforts to be best," said Aviation General Manager Ben DeCosta.
This year's job fair is being held in conjunction with the Hartsfield Development Program's two-day Supplier Diversity Conference, "Connecting to Create Opportunity," at the Hyatt Regency-Atlanta. The conference is designed to increase business and networking opportunities for small, minority and female-owned construction firms in Atlanta. A series of workshops and seminars will be conducted during the conference.
Persons interested in attending the job fair should wear appropriate business attire, bring several copies of their resume, and prepare for possible interviews.
The event takes place at the Atlanta Apparel Mart, located at 250 Spring St. from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Information may be obtained by calling (404) 209-4187. For automated directions to the Apparel Mart, call (404) 220-2601.
