Ghost, goblins and cowboys will be out in full force tonight trick or treating.

But a variety of other events from private parties to haunted houses are available in the area.

Some of those events scheduled for this Halloween are:

Campaign Connection: Youth in Action and Sparkles Skating Rink off Highway 85 in Riverdale are joining together to make this Halloween a safe one.

Holyween: GospelRoller Fest is the theme event.

Two sessions of entertainment includes free admission, minimum skate rental fee, food, drinks and candy.

Each session will target separate age groups. Information can be obtained by calling the skating rink.

Arts Clayton will hold its Halloween Festival from 5 to 10 p.m.

It will be at Creekside Plaza at 242 Stockbridge Road in Jonesboro.

There will be a best carved pumpkin contest with a $25 prize for the person who brings the winner.

? Trinity Lakeside Church in Jonesboro will hold Trunk or Treat from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Oct. 31. The event will feature games, candy, popcorn and a moonwalk. For more information, call (770) 478-7133.

? The New Testament Community Church will hold a fall festival from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 31 with a moonwalk, games, food, candy and a costume contest. No scary costumes will be allowed. For more information, call (770) 506-3300.

* Philadelphia Presbyterian Church will hold a Halloween party for children and adults from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31. Admission is a bag of individually wrapped candy or a canned good. A costume contest will be at 6:15, followed by a hot dog dinner, face painting and games. For more information, call (404) 366-1851.

* Jonesboro First Baptist Church will host its annual Fall Festival from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Recreational Outreach Center. The festival will include food, a giant slide, a speed pitch cage, cookie decorating and more. For more information, call (770) 478-6710.

* The Riverdale Police Department and Sparkles Roller Rink will host a "Safe Night" from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Oct. 31. Parents can leave their children at the rink, where they will be locked in under the supervision of Riverdale police officers while they enjoy skating, treats, prizes and food.
