The Jonesboro Lady Cardinals opened the region half of their schedule Tuesday with a 1-0 victory against Houston County. Heather Lowry struck out 19 batters and drove in the lone run in the sixth. The win improved Jonesboro to 6-4 overall. "This was a big dramatic win for us," said Jeanine Conkle. Starr's Mill 10, Lovejoy 0: Alicia Roberson and Brittany Evans had the Lady Wildcats' only two hits in the team's loss to Starr's Mill. Despite losing the game, Roberson and Christina Read came up with some solid plays on defense for Lovejoy. Arlington 5, ELCA 3: The Lady Chargers dropped to 6-5 overall after losing to Arlingon 5-3 on Tuesday afternoon. Casey Jutson finished with three strikeouts in the loss for the Lady Chargers. Ashley Lambert finished with two hits and scored two runs.More like this story
