While police still search for the suspect in a double homicide on Tuesday they arrested a man they said is an accomplice in the crime. Kenneth Ray Hilton, 35, was arrested Tuesday and charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of 48-year-old Algernon Sedrick Nash of Atlanta and another as yet unidentified man that occurred over the weekend, Clayton County police Capt. Jeff Turner said. Police are still looking for 37-year-old David Hendrix, the man they say shot the two men and then put their bodies in Nash's Cadillac Seville and set them on fire. "(Hilton) was present when the murders occurred and helped Hendrix load the bodies into the vehicle," Turner said. Despite Hilton's arrest Turner said police still do not have a motive in the shootings that are believed to have occurred Friday night at Hendrix's home on West Fayetteville Road outside Riverdale. Around 6:16 a.m. Saturday a passerby reported the burning Cadillac off Sullivan Road and investigators found the body of the unidentified man in the back seat after the fire was extinguished. Nash's body was later discovered in the trunk. Hilton's preliminary hearing has been set for 8 a.m. Sept. 18. A quantity of hair found in Hendrix's home may indicate that Hendrix has altered his appearance, Turner said. He is considered armed and dangerous. Hendrix is a white male and is believed to be driving a 1973 Ford F-150 pick up truck with the license plate number 821ZJP. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Clayton County police at (770) 477-3648.More like this story
