Terry N. Pettit

Trucker

Terry N. Pettit, 46, of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003.

He was a long haul truck driver.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife, Dottie Ann (Cates) Pettit; children, Heath Pettit of Moody, Ala., Heather Douglas of Leeds, Ala., and Shelli Jones of Savannah; mother, Sue King of Carbon Hill, Ala.; brothers, Jeff Pettit of Theodore, Ala. and Mark Pettit of Sylacauga, Ala.; sisters, Kim Hitt of Jasper, Ala., Sharon Richardson of Indianapolis, Ind., and Gail Lowery and Pamela Smith, both of Fayette, Ala.; grandchildren, Reid Pettit, Hallie Pettit, Cameron Newton, Chloe Douglas, and Carly Douglas; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Assembly of God Building Fund, 805 Highway 3 North, Hampton, GA 30228.

The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

William Donald

Shelnutt Jr.

William Donald Shelnutt Jr., 44, of Jonesboro passed away Sept. 9, 2003.

Mr. Shelnutt was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Belinda Gail Shelnutt of Jonesboro; three daughters, Kristal and Andrea Shelnutt and Kayla Forbus; one son, Thomas Forbus; two brothers, Dennis Shelnutt of Lithia Springs and David Shelnutt of Newnan. He is also survived by his mother and father, Elsie and Donald Shelnutt Sr. of Riverdale; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, at Tara Garden Chapel with the Rev. Earl Pirkle officiating. The interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
