O.P. "Dave" David Jr.
Mr. O.P. "Dave" David Jr. of Jonesboro died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2003, at Southern Regional Medical Center.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a bombardier during World War II, and had retired from Southern Railway after 30 years of service.
A chapel service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery, with the Rev. Jack Bartlett officiating.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Emily Pooser David; daughters, Kathy Garner and Fred Wilcock of McDonough, Karen and Johnie Snider of Fayetteville, Karol and Randy Tanner of Monticello, Kim and Carl Oberle of East Meadow, N.Y., and Kay and Steve Dyke of McDonough; sister, Kathryn (Kitty) Rivers of Fayetteville; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions are made to the American Heart Association South Metro Division, 70 Perimeter Center East, Suite 7010, Atlanta, GA 30346.

Brenda Lorraine Dossett
Brenda Lorraine Dossett, age 51, of Locust Grove, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William James and Lena Maxwell Bowen, and her husband, James Sheldon Dossett Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 in the Chapel of Cannon-Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Ron Fancher officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include her daughters, Wendy (Thomas) Sellers and Erica (Tim) Dossett, both of Locust Grove; sisters, Joyce (Ron) Fancher of Alabama, and Becky (Buddy) Gaddy of Hogansville; brothers, Bill (Gail) Bowen of Athens and Winfred (Diane) Bowen of Villa Rica; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mr. Hoyt Sullens died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2003.
Mr. Sullens was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the American Legion.
Out of town funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 in Damascus Baptist Church, with the Rev. Calton Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from noon to 7 p.m., and a funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 7 p.m., with Chaplain James Montgomery officiating.
