The Riverdale girls might be on their way to winning another Clayton County Track Championship.
Going into the final events today, the Lady Raiders have 61 points, 29 points ahead of Mundy's Mill.
In the field finals Thursday, Riverdale won three events including Nicole Davis in the triple jump, Morgan Joseph in the long jump and Jessika Johnson in the high jump.
"That was a position we wanted to be in, to go out and make a point in the field," Riverdale head coach Adam Phyall said. "We did pretty good in the (running) preliminaries yesterday so it's looking pretty good for us tomorrow."
Lovejoy leads in the boys standings and has 95 points going into today. Riverdale is in second place with 29 points.
So far, Lovejoy has won three events including Chris Hall in the long jump, Jeremy Lomax in the discus and Bryson Pullins in the 3,200-meter run.
