ATLANTA ?The Georgia DOT will perform asphalt repair work Saturday on I-285 westbound between State Route 400 and State Route 9 (Roswell Road) in Fulton County. The work is scheduled to begin at 4:00 a.m. and should be completed by 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. "The repair work will require us to close the four left lanes of I-285 westbound from just before State Route 400 to Roswell Road but the two right lanes will remain open throughout the work period," said Georgia DOT District Maintenance Engineer Yancy Bachmann. "We just need to get out there and make these repairs in order to maintain the safety of the roadway." Motorists should expect delays or plan alternate routes and should also use extreme caution when traveling through the work zone. Statistics show that three out of four work zone fatalities are motorists, not workers.
