Stephen Manuel Hixson, 40, of Belton, S.C., died Thursday, April 22, 2004, at the Hospice House.
He was born Feb. 14, 1964, in Chattanooga, Tenn.
He graduated from Tri-County Tech with a 4.0 grade point average on April 19, 2004. He was a member of the Alpha Zeta Beta, Phi Theta Kappa and Who's Who Among American Junior College Students. He was named Outstanding Senior in Industrial Electronics and was an accomplished martial artist. He was on the president's list and dean's list.
Survivors include his wife Patricia Sherill Duncan Hixson; parents Daniel Leonard Hixson of Beverly Hills, Calif., and Louise Georgina Bento Hixson of Stockbridge; daughters Elyssa Beverly Hixson, Claire Sierra Hixson, Falon Dakota Hixson, all of Belton, S.C.; brothers Daniel William Hixson of McDonough, Matthew D. Hixson of Walnut Grove, Ga., Patrick Wynn Hixson of Atlanta and James Christopher Hixson of Atlanta; sisters Christine G. Lashley of Forsyth and Deanna L. Hixson of Hawaii.
Services will be held today at 10 a.m. at the McDougald Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Chattanooga at 4 p.m. today.
The McDougald Funeral Home of Anderson, S.C., is handling arrangements.
