Schools begin public forum series

By Greg Gelpi

The first of four Clayton County schools community forums will be held tonight.

Residents of Clayton County will have the opportunity to voice their questions and concerns regarding education and the Clayton County school system at the forums.

The forums will be tonight at Riverdale Middle School for school districts 3 and 5; May 6 at Adamson Middle School for districts 6, 7 and 9; May 10 at Lovejoy High School for districts 1 and 2 and May 13 at Babb Middle School for districts 4 and 8. All of the forums are set to begin at 6 p.m. and conclude at 7:30 p.m.

Clayton County schools Superintendent Barbara Pulliam and members of the Clayton County Board of Education will make opening remarks at the forums followed by round table discussions for the public and school officials.

For more information on the forums, call Sam King, the assistant superintendent of support services and continuous improvements, at (770) 473-2715 or Margie Dam, the executive director of staff development, at (770) 473-2795.
