Clayton County Public Schools is holding a series of community forums. The remaining forums are May 6 at Adamson Middle for school districts 6, 7 and 9; May 10 at Lovejoy High for districts 1 and 2 and May 13 at Babb Middle for districts 4 and 8. Clayton College & State University will have its 34th Annual Spring Commencement May 8 in the university's Athletics & Fitness Center. Commencement will take place at 9 a.m. and noon. A Forensic Science for Medicolegal Professionals Conference will be held at Clayton College & State University from Monday to May 7. The conference is being offered at cost and is geared toward law enforcement, coroners, medical examiners, funeral directors and interested students and faculty. First Baptist Church in Jonesboro is holding enrollment for its early learning center for next school year. The Clayton County school system will hold a series of job fairs for certifiable teaching candidates. The remaining fairs are May 14 at the North Jonesboro Center and June 4 and June 28 at Roberts Middle School. Seven of the county's eight high schools will graduate more than 2,000 students May 21 and May 22. Mundy's Mill, Clayton County's newest high school, will have its first graduation in 2005. The Suder Elementary School Council announced its meeting schedule. The council will meet at 7:30 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at Suder Elementary. The meetings are May 12, June 9, July 14, Aug. 11, Sept. 8, Oct. 13, Nov. 10 and Dec. 8.

Jewell C. Anderson Elementary announced the dates of its school council meetings. The meetings are May 18 and June 15. All meetings are at 7 a.m.

Honors

The University of Georgia recognized Ngozi Christine Ogbuehi of College Park for being a Family & Consumer Sciences Ambassador and participating in the university's honors program.

Jerome Hawk and Reggie McCaw II, both Clayton College & State University students from Riverdale, were national winners in the Delta Epsilon Chi competition. Hawk finished in the top 12 in the E-commerce track and McCaw finished in the top 10 in the web site design track.

Suder Elementary School won "The Elementary Shoot" at Clayton College & State University. A trophy and monetary award was given by Clayton State.
