Pepper is a 5-year-old mixed breed. She has been spayed and all vaccinations are current. Pepper and her two tiny babies were rescued from a horrible neglect situation. Pepper had been living at the end of a chain for four years with little food, water or attention, in filthy conditions. Unable to escape roaming dogs, she had been repeatedly impregnated and had delivered several litters of puppies. At the time of her rescue by the Clayton County Humane Society, Pepper was malnourished and suffering from several parasites, including heartworms. Despite the sad, pitiful life Pepper had been exposed to, she remained a sweet, affectionate dog. She's quiet and well-behaved, and absolutely adores people. All of her previous medical problems have been treated, and Pepper is fully recovered and healthy. For adoption information call the Humane Society at (770) 471-9436.
