Morrow police are looking for a man they say stole more than $90,000 from an armored car guard. The armed Brink's courier, Harvey McNeil of Conley, was carrying the receipts from the AMC Theater on Mt. Zion Road back to his truck around 10:50 a.m. Monday when an armed man approached him and demanded the bag, according to Morrow Police Chief Charlie Sewell. During a brief struggle the robber hit McNeil several times on the head and took the bag and McNeil's gun before driving off in a newer model black minivan. McNeil was taken to Southern Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released. The robber is described as a black male with caramel colored skin, between 35 and 40 years old with a stocky build and perhaps a potbelly. He was wearing a red shirt. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Morrow Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (770) 960-3003 or the police department at (770) 961-4000 or (770) 961-4006.More like this story
