Mary S. Landis Funeral services for Mary S. Landis, 89, of Poinsettia Lane, Palm Coast, Fla., who passed away Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, at the Grand Oaks Health & Rehab Center, Palm Coast, Fla. will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12 at the Philadelphia Presbyterian Church in Forest Park, Ga. Mary was born May 30, 1915, in Chattahoochee, Fla. to Bailey D. and Sally D. (Tolar) Stokes. She worked as an Avon Representative for more than 50 years in Forest Park. She was a member of Philadelphia Presbyterian Church in Forest Park. Mary loved to fish, travel, and she enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves. Survivors include her son, Forrest M. Landis Jr. of Palm Coast, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lou and William Mathen of Palm Coast; grandchildren, Robert Mathen of Edgewater, Fla., Rodney (Pam) Mathen of Jonesboro, Ga., Brad (Kathy) Grissom of Indianapolis, Ind., Sheryl Landis of Atlanta, Ga. and Andrea Landis of New York; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Landis, her son, Robert Milton Landis, and her daughter, Betty Elizabeth Grissom. Pope Dickson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
