Mrs. Dorothy Phillips Grant, 94, of Forest Park, Ga. passed away Thursday, Aug. 12, 2004, at Southwest Christian Hospice. Mrs. Grant was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Forest Park, and a life-long resident of Clayton County. Mrs. Grant is preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, Mr. William D. Grant. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15 at Parkway Garden Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Park City Cemetery. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Nell and son-in-law Bruce Winkles; son, Pressley "Bud" and daughter-in-law, Ann Grant; son, Gary and daughter-in-law, Janice Grant; one remaining sister-in-law, Pauline Grant; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today. Flowers will be accepted or those desiring may make donations to Southwest Christian Hospice, 7225 Lester Road, Union City, GA 30291, (770) 969-8354, in memory of Mrs. Grant.
