Mrs. Joann Pendley Phillips, 74, of Tunnel Hill, Ga. and formerly of McDonough died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2004.
Mrs. Phillips was born in Henry County, daughter of the late Maude Woodward and Benjamin Franklin Pendley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walker Phillips; sister, Martha Moore; brothers, Frank Pendley and Horace Pendley. Funeral services for Mrs. Phillips will be at 4 p.m. today, Saturday, Aug. 14 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Dr. Terry L. Smith officiating. A private interment will be at Eastlawn Memorial Park on Monday, Aug. 16 at 10 a.m. Survivors are sons, Benjamin Phillips and Bill Phillips of Tunnel Hill; granddaughter, Selene Townsend of Stockbridge; grandson, Jonathan Phillips of Stockbridge; great-grandson, Patrick Townsend of Stockbridge; sister, Frances Brooks of McDonough and numerous nieces and nephews.
