Lady Cardinals stay perfect

The Jonesboro girls remained undefeated after Friday night's game against North Atlanta but it was a tough one.

Kala Smith made two free-throws with 17 seconds remaining to lift Jonesboro (5-0, 1-0) to a 50-49 victory over North Atlanta.

Sisters Jasmine and Jawanda Duffey led Jonesboro with 11 points each.

Morrow 72, Douglass 45 (girls): Jordan Greenleaf led Morrow (4-1,1-1) with 30 points, 16 rebounds, eight blocks and five steals. Jasmine Parker added 10 points, five steals, five rebounds and three blocks.

Morrow 73, Douglass 69 (boys): Four Morrow players finished in double figures in Friday's victory.

Eric Wilson led the way with 19 points and Ronald Aguilar added 16. Keith Jones contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds while Steve Smith scored 11.

Fayette Christian 65, Lake Dow 63 (boys): Joseph DeLong and Jacob Young led Lake Dow with 16 points each while Nathan Hammock scored 12. DeLong grabbed nine rebounds and Young had eight rebounds. Robbie Brandt snagged seven rebounds.

Lake Dow 44, Fayette Christian 38 (girls): Lydia Ham led Lake Dow with 13 points, 15 rebounds and eight steals. Ellen Self added 17 points and Cassie Ethridge snagged 10 rebounds.

Lake Dow gets back into action Tuesday at Grace Christian in Columbus.

Bible Baptist-Savannah 45, Bible Baptist-McDonough 44 (girls): Megan Dixon led Bible Baptist-McDonough with 22 points. Stacy Bishop had eight rebounds and Kristen Lee grabbed six rebounds.

Bible Baptist-McDonough 51, Bible Baptist-Savannah 32 (boys): Alex Board led Bible Baptist-McDonough with 19 points. Jesse Pyle had nine rebounds and Jeff Maddox had six rebounds.

Mundy's Mill 69, Fayette County 66 (boys): Brandon Robinson led Mundy's Mill (3-2, 1-0) with 16 points while Earvin Smith scored 15.
