Clayton County commission Chairman-elect Eldrin Bell laid out many of his plans to improve the county government Thursday when he met at My Sister's Place in Jonesboro with members of the group responsible for leading many of the area's social initiatives.
The Clayton County Coordination Team will bring together members of various social work groups and several county judges to collaborate on policy changes.
Bell invited them to provide input on his plans for the county, which include high-end development on the northside of the county, while maintaining the status quo in the southern side.
"The north end of the county can be developed just like the north end of Fulton," he said. "On the south side, let us keep it like it is."
Bell also said he wanted to triple the number of people coming into the county from other places in Atlanta by doubling the $600,000 convention center budget.
