Nellie Irene Martin Busbin (Nell), age 88, of McDonough, died Dec. 12, 2004. She was born in Henry County, retired from Cluett Peabody Co./Arrow Shirt Company in 1972, and was a member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Donald and Helen Busbin, McDonough; granddaughter, Melanie and Jimmy Brown, McDonough; great-grandson, Derek Brown; great-granddaughter, Devan Brown; sisters, Juanita Buice, McDonough, Doris Stubbs, Covington; one niece and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Berlin Busbin; granddaughter, Donna Joyce Busbin; parents, Hugh and Florrie Belle Wynn Martin; brothers, Gerald Jerome Martin (Jerry), Augustus Lamar martin (Moty), John Thomas Martin (John Tom); sister, Marion Martin Rowan.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14 at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church, with remains placed in state at 2 p.m., Rev. John Brown and Dr. Mark Outlaw officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church Building Fund.
