William T. Cook

Mr. William T. Cook of Ellenwood, Ga. passed away Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004.

A Memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26 at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home Parkway Chapel, 1000 Forest Parkway in Forest Park, Ga.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Cook; sons, Christopher Cook and Joseph Cook; sister, Marsha Mitchell; grandchildren, Dalton, Gunner and Madison.

Fred Henderson

Fred Henderson, 76, of Forest Park passed away Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004.

Mr. Henderson served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II as an instructor at West Point Military Academy and later as a firefighter in Alaska. He was also a master engraver of knives, some of which he engraved for Hank Aaron, President Carter, President Ford, and Bob Hope.

Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27 at Pope Dickson & Son Morrow Chapel with the Rev. Chris Reynolds officiating. Mr. Henderson will be entombed at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Henderson of Forest Park; son, Stephen Dale Bischoff of Vero Beach, Fla.; daughters, Margaret Napier of Mobile, Ala. and Rebecca Cole of Jonesboro; brothers, Clarence V. Henderson of Courtland, Ohio, Richard M. Henderson of Hudson, Fla.; sister, Genevieve Schirmer of South Point, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Henderson was preceded in death by a son, James Napier.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26 at the funeral home.

Betty Sue Register

Betty Sue Register, 67, homemaker, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, at her residence in Monticello, Fla.

Services will be Sunday, Dec. 26 in Esto, Fla. at the Esto Baptist Church beginning at 2 p.m. CST, with burial at Esto Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service, 1 p.m. CST. at Esto Baptist Church.

A native of Holmes County, Fla., Mrs. Register moved to Monticello, Fla. in May, 2004. Prior to living in Monticello she resided in Stockbridge, Ga., Jonesboro, Ga. and Columbus, Ga.

She loved to spend time in her garden, and taking care of children. She was also an awesome cook. While living in Jonesboro, Ga. she served as President of Tops Club. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband, Huey Register of Monticello, Fla.; son, Michael Register of McDonough, Ga.; daughter, Lisa Cordova of Jonesboro, Ga.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Helen L. Mabry

Mrs. Helen L. Mabry, 85, of Newnan, formerly of Forest Park, passed away Dec. 23, 2004.

Mrs. Mabry was preceded in death by her husband, James O. "Bill" Mabry. Survivors include two sons, Mr. and Mrs. James A. and Debra Mabry of Sharpsburg, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Frank "Butch" and Susan Mabry of Conley; a daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Carol and Leroy Tyner of Newnan; a brother, Mr. and Mrs. Fred and Mildred Wallace of Griffin; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26 at Pope Dickson & Son Morrow Chapel. The interment will be at Jones Memorial Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
