Reubin C. Hudgins Sr., MSGT (E8) Retired

Reubin C. Hudgins Sr., MSGT (E8) Retired, U.S. Army Special Forces, 75, of Riverdale passed away Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004.

While in the Army Mr. Hudgins served 13 years in the Army's elite Green Berets. Mr. Hudgins was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis McCarley and Stella Lee Hudgins, and brother, Donald B. Hudgins.

Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12 at Tara Garden Chapel with Mr. Kelly Norton, Mr. Billy Luetkemeyer and Mr. Clyde Cooper officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. Members of the Clayton County Bass Club will serve as pallbearers.

Survivors include his wife, Minnie Sue Hudgins; daughters and their spouses, Susan and Danny Williams of McDonough, Tresa and Kevin Brown of Fayetteville and Denise and Kim Garrett of Petersburg, Ky.; sons and spouses, Reuben and Dale Hudgins of Locust Grove, Gene and Karen Hudgins of Stockbridge and Rexx and Sherry Hudgins of Hampton; two sisters, Nina and Pete O'Steen and his twin sister, Ruby Cook, both of Pacolet, S.C.; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and loyal friends.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mary P. Mann

Mrs. Mary P. Mann, 87, of Fairburn passed away Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, at Fairburn Healthcare.

She was born June 20, 1916, in Clayton County, daughter to the late Philip P. Perkins and the late Mary Elizabeth Newsome. Mrs. Mann was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Mann.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12 at Pope Dickson and Son Morrow Chapel. The interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit the family from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
