The Southern Regional Health System reached an agreement with UnitedHealthcare of Georgia. UnitedHealthcare of Georgia provides health insurance products to more than 600,000 in the state. The contract between the two was scheduled to expire Jan. 31, but an agreement was worked out to avoid any disruption of services. "The agreement will allow thousands of our current and future patients to continue to have access to our facility on an in-network basis," Dan Hoodin, the vice president of managed care and corporate compliance officer at Southern Regional, said.More like this story
