Dorothy Ann Frye Orr

Dorothy Ann Frye Orr, 66, of Jonesboro, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, at a health care facility in Riverdale.

She was a native of Chattanooga and has spent most of her life in Jonesboro, where she was a member of the Jonesboro Baptist Tabernacle. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ricky and Bobby Orr; sister, Jo Lockhart; parents, Herbert Louis Frye and Lillie Irene Roach Frye.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 13 at 2:30 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel, with the Reverend Junior Bryson officiating. Internment will follow in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, the Rev. Charles Orr; three daughters and sons-in-law, Norma and Kevin Hanson of New Castle, Neb., Susan and David Pugh of Hampton, Ga., and Laura and Craig Engler of Mableton, Ga.; one son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Rannette Orr of Jonesboro; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Ruth Frye, Judy Whisenat, Frances Snyder, Louise Shafer, Mary Pendergrass, Helen Smith and Mae Brunyard, all of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two brothers, Bobby and L.H. Frye, both of Chattanooga; one uncle, Bill Roach; one aunt, Viola Ross, several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends today from 4 until 8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home, Rossville.
