Carl S. Hay
Mr. Carl S. Hay of Morrow died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004.
Mr. Hay was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Hampton and retired from Sears Roebuck and Company, where he was a buyer for 44 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Genie Humphries Hay.
Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9 in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Brad Blanton and Dr. Norman Pyle officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Harry and Diane; grandson and wife, John and Karen; great-grandchild, Brooke. Other survivors include his brothers and sisters-in-law.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

James O. Sams
James O. Sams, age 96, of Hampton died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004.
He was a member of the Davidson Masonic Lodge and Woodmen of the World. Mr. Sams was a retired Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor from Ft. Gillem Army Depot. He was a member of Lovejoy Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Shields Sams.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10 at Carl J. Mowell & Son Chapel, Fayetteville with the Rev. Bob Partridge officiating. Interment will follow at Woolsey Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include his children, Gail Gresham of Jonesboro, Sandra Cornelius of Hampton, Mortimer Sams of Peachtree City and Michael Sams of Hampton; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one niece and one nephew.
