Betty Jo Murray of Griffin and formerly of Stockbridge passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004. She was born and raised in Charlotte, N.C. and retired from the J.C. Penney Distribution Center. Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by her mother, father, three sisters and a brother. A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12 at the chapel, with the Rev. John Episcopo officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Survivors include her husband, John Murray; daughter, Judy Foster; son, Dean Foster; stepson, Raymond Murray; grandsons, John Paul Foster, Jeremy Murray and Timothy Murray. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11 at the funeral home. Pope Dickson & Son, Morrow Chapel is in charge of arrangements. (770) 961-2700.More like this story
